How to become nanny member of PACEY
Child safety is paramount for nannies and PACEY. That is why we
insist that all our potential members have an enhanced Disclosure
and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly known as CRB disclosure), paediatric first-aid, and basic
Nannies wishing to join PACEY can do this in
- Join PACEY and register as a nanny with Ofsted in England or
the Childcare at Home Approval Scheme in Wales. More information
- Acquire a DBS check (formerly CRB disclosure) independently as
well as undergo paediatric first-aid training and join as
a non-registered nanny by calling 0300 003
Only parents employing nannies who have joined
the voluntary schemes can receive the childcare element of working
families tax credit. In England, Ofsted inspects a random selection
of people on the Childcare Register to ensure they comply with the
requirements for membership of the register.
