PACEY Local

PACEY Local is a volunteer-led initiative, aiming to bring together like-minded childcare professionals to alleviate isolation, empower newly qualified professionals and share in best practice.

There's a free online peer support site, where you can connect with other childminders, nannies and nursery workers in England and Wales to share advice, concerns and best practice.

As well as an active online community, members meet face-to-face to offer friendship and support. Every face-to-face group has a Facilitator who coordinates and organises local meetings. They act as a link between PACEY, the local authority and childminders and nannies in the local area, facilitating discussion and supporting professionalism.

One of the expected outcomes of PACEY Local is to improve quality in childcare for parents by creating empowered, supported and contented home-based childcare professionals.
