Develop yourself

Your job is to help children learn. You know that children are learning new things, all the time. And we're here to help you learn new things, too.

Keeping on top of regulatory changes and updates to your home nation’s framework can seem daunting. PACEY membership can help keep you up to date, through manageable updates and professional development opportunities. All designed to provide practical advice and support on how to implement in your setting.

Practice guides, factsheets and videos

PACEY's learning and resources hubs for members contain a wealth of information designed to support all aspects of a professional childcarer's role. From support setting up a childminding business, to help preparing for an inspection, and from meeting new legal requirements to understanding ages and stages of child development, there's something for everyone. And as we always relate content to practice, you can be sure it is relevant to you and your daily role.

Free training

PACEY provides free CPD training for members. These courses are rooted in the relevant frameworks and support members to meet their regulatory requirements.

For example, you know that understanding safeguarding children is an integral part of working in childcare and early years. PACEY has developed an online Safeguarding course which will give you the information you need to understand your responsibilities in relation to the safeguarding, protection and welfare of children.

“I think I now understand the terminology much better. I have been on three safeguarding courses in my 12 years' experience and I have learnt more facts on how to follow procedure on this course than any other I have been on.”

Online training courses

Designed to support your continuing professional development and can be undertaken at your own pace in your own home.

Our courses offer training in key areas and are relevant to all childcare practitioners.
