Support for you

You're busy looking after children and families in your setting, and may well be caring for a family at home as well. But who's looking after you?

Advice and support helplines

Our three helplines mean that practical help is just a phonecall away.

  • When you call our childcare helpline, trained professionals will answer your questions about childcare issues or simply give you a second opinion on something you’re not sure about.
  • Our 24 hour health and wellbeing helpline can help you with any health or wellbeing questions. So if you're concerned about yourself, a child in your care, or even your friends and family, you can give us a call for reassurance or advice.
  • Whether it's a question about a parking ticket, property law or a business issue, one call to our legal helpline is the start of getting your legal worries sorted out. All members can access the legal helpline, while the legal representation helpline, Legal Plus, is exclusively for our childminder members.

Representing you to regulators and government

PACEY members are part of a vibrant and dedicated community of childcare professionals.

PACEY is a strong voice for those childcare professionals, working with government and regulators at all levels to help influence childcare policy development and to speak for childcare and early years professionals across England and Wales.

We represent you directly to government, by speaking at Select Committee inquiries and having face-to-face meetings with Ministers.

And members have opportunities to take part in these meetings too, with visits by Ministers and regulatory body officials in settings to really demonstrate the range and vibrancy of childcare professionals.

Connect with your peers

PACEY Local is our network of volunteers and members across the UK. Being a part of PACEY Local helps childcare professionals at every career stage to learn from and share ideas with colleagues in their area.

PACEY Local offers:

  • an online forum for peer-to-peer discussion and support
  • local events where you can get together with other childcare professionals in your area
  • a wide range of continuous professional development opportunities
  • support from friendly facilitators.

Vacancy matching service for childminders

All PACEY childminder members get support to fill childminding vacancies with a personalised PACEY webpage and online vacancy matching service for parents to search.

All childminder members automatically have access to iChild Silver, absolutely free as a benefit of membership. iChild Silver benefits are exclusive to PACEY childminder members and are hosted on the iChild.co.uk website.

iChild Silver provides access to the following promotion tools so you can connect with parents in your local area.

  • Your own web profile, outlining the services and features of your  childminding service
  • A web listing address to promote your childminding setting
  • A vacancy calendar so parents can see when you have spaces
  • Access to hundreds of free resources.

Childminder members must login to MyPACEY to access the benefit.
