How do I get started on SearchChildcare?

It really couldn't be easier! We have pre-populated a profile with your membership details, so all you need to do is check to make sure that everything is up-to-date and as you'd like it to appear. 

Follow these four simple steps to register a SearchChildcare account and get started.

 

What will happen to my existing profile on iChild.co.uk?

From 1st February 2017 iChild’s vacancy matching service - the ‘find childcare’ section of their website - will cease to exist. From this date you will have no access to any of the information or photos you may have previously uploaded to their website.

 

What will happen to the information I uploaded to iChild.co.uk?

For data security purposes, iChild will return all PACEY member data to us and ensure all member records are deleted from their servers. Please keep in mind that iChild has no control over Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. so it may take a period of time for search results to disappear from search engine listings.

If you would like to reuse your iChild profile information on the PACEY directory, we recommend you access your iChild profile before 31st January 2017, and copy your content.

 

Can I still use iChild’s Silver resources?

Absolutely! Even if you haven’t used iChild.co.uk in the past, you will still be able to register for an account and access their wide range of early years resources, which are free to download from their website.

 

I am a Gold iChild member, will my premium account still be active?

Of course. As a Gold iChild member you will still have access to;

  • All of iChild’s Gold activities and resources, designed to help childminders deliver the areas of learning in the EYFS (England) or work to the Foundation Phase (Wales)
  • Personalised signs and posters
  • Personalised photo posters and invites tailored to your setting
  • Personalised photo flash cards
  • A wealth of religious festival stories
  • The ‘toybox’ functionality, which enables you to download multiple activities in one go

Can I cancel my Gold iChild monthly subscription?

Yes, although this will mean you will no longer have access to any of the Gold member benefits, such as personalised posters and flash cards.

To cancel your iChild Gold Membership and recurring payment, email admin@ichild.co.uk quoting “Cancellation” in the subject line. Please include the full name, full postcode and email address that was used for the WorldPay transaction (and ideally, but not essentially, your WorldPay agreement ID which was included in the confirmation email you will have received from WorldPay). Please indicate whether you would like your account closed down completely, or if you would like to remain as an iChild standard member. This will then be queued for cancellation (please allow seven days).

Alternatively, you can cancel the FuturePay agreement directly with WorldPay. Simply login with the WorldPay login details provided in the separate WorldPay FuturePay confirmation email. Once you have cancelled your FuturePay agreement iChild will receive notification from WorldPay, and they will then downgrade your account to iChild standard membership at the end of the subscription period you have paid for.

 

If I choose to cancel my annual Gold iChild membership, will I get a refund?

Yes, although the amount you have refunded will depend on how long is left on your current subscription. If you are an annual iChild Gold member, and would like to cancel, please follow the same procedure outlined above for monthly Gold membership. Any refund amount will then be confirmed.

 

Do I have to appear in PACEY’s member directory?

No. We believe our member directory will be a fantastically useful tool for any setting to promote and advertise their business to prospective parents. However, if you would like to opt out of this service and remove your details from our directory, please do one of the following:

Visit SearchChildcare, register for an account and then choose to hide your listing

 

  

Why can’t I upload my CIW report?

CIW doesn’t currently have the functionality for SearchChildcare to link out to individual reports in the way Ofsted does for childcare providers in England. However, they are developing a new technical solution and, once available, it will be added to SearchChildcare. 

In the meantime, we encourage you to include the link to your report (if you have it) in the description box. Alternatively, provide a summary of your report within the description so that parents can see the feedback you received from CIW.
