Childminding Week 2024 (11-17 May)

Childminders are passionate, dedicated and highly trained providers making a difference to childrens lives. They are carers, educators and leaders who support children and families from all backgrounds including the most vulnerable.

Childminding Week 2024 was a great opportunity to show our appreciation and raise awareness for the vital role they play in our sector. We took great pleasure in using this special week to shout even more about the incredible work Childminders do and look forward to building on the event each year!

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who got involved – whether you’re from a local authority, a fellow childminder, or a supporter. Your contribution to the week was truly valued.

Gratitude boxes

This past year has seen so much change in the early years sector and we have been blown away by the nummber of Childminders who have wanted to get involved and make their voices heard on matters affecting their profession. Members have been attending government forums, speaking to press, offering case studies and completing consultations to name a few and we couldn't have carried out our policy work without them. For those who have worked closely with PACEY this year we have sent them a little gratitude box in the post to say: THANK YOU!

Celebrating at the Senedd

As part of the Childminding Week celebrations PACEY Cymru held an event at the Senedd on 15 May hosted by Lee Waters MS. This celebrated the work childminders do, showed our appreciation and raised awareness for the vital role childminders play in the sector.
