Government publishes outcome of primary assessment consultation in England

The Department for Education has today published the outcome of the consultation on Primary Assessment. Read the full consultation and commitments from the Government. The DfE intends to develop a statutory assessment ready for introduction by autumn 2020.

More than a Score coalition issues open letter to Government

A new network which aims to improve the teaching and learning of the Foundation Phase across all schools and education settings in Wales was launched by Education Secretary Kirsty Williams yesterday during a visit to Llanrhidian Primary School in Swansea.

Drop in childminders continues as inspection judgements improve

Ofsted has published its termly statistics on childcare providers and inspections in England covering the period between 31 August 2017 and 31 December 2017. The statistics show another slight decrease in the number of registered childminders, and an increase in the number of non-domestic providers. Read the full results.
