PACEY call for childminder contribution to research looking into government reforms on the sector

Two toddlers on computerThe Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) is calling on childminders to complete a short survey to help assess the impact of government reforms upon the sector.

The survey is part of a research project being conducted by the Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR). The project is looking at the likely changes that proposals indicated in January’s ‘More Great Childcare’ report will have on childcare professionals. It is now in its second phase, with the final report due to be launched in June 2013.

The research will look at the potential effect of the proposals on the sustainability and quality of childminding provision and, as part of that, the wider impact on childcare affordability and accessibility for families. Completion of the survey will help IPPR to gain a relevant insight from childminders on their reaction to changes.

The survey is open to both PACEY members and non-members, and only takes ten minutes to complete. The final date for completion is Monday 29 April.

This project is kindly supported by PACEY.
