Share your views on SEND

New laws reforming the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system in England are coming into force from September 2014, following their passage through Parliament earlier this year. These new laws will affect everyone who is involved with children and young people with SEND, including childcare professionals, so PACEY is looking to develop resources and support for childcare professionals ahead of the changes.

Before we develop these resources, however, we would like to hear your views on caring for children with SEN and/or disabilities, as well as your experience with the Government reforms to date, and most importantly how PACEY can best support you to deliver high-quality care to children with SEND. Even if you don’t currently care for children with SEND, we’d still love to hear from you, and although the reforms to the SEN system are specific to England, our survey isn’t, so PACEY Cymru members are also very welcome to take part!

To share your views, all you have to do is answer our short survey about caring for children with SEND. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and if you supply us with your e-mail address at the end of the survey you will be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 £20 Debenhams vouchers! We won’t share any of your details, and all responses to the survey will be presented anonymously. To start the survey, follow this link

The survey will close on Monday 12th May 2014, and we will announce the winners of the prize draw shortly afterwards. Thanks for your continued support – together, we can really make a difference for children with SEND and their families.
