As you may be aware, from December 2014,
childcare providers in England and Wales will be required to comply
with The Food Information Regulation.
The new regulation will mean food businesses
including childcare providers will need to give information about
the allergenic ingredients used in any food sold or provided,
including pre-packed foods.
We've rounded-up information on food
allergens so you can comply with the regulations.
Many of you will still have questions, or may want to know in
more detail about what this means for you, so we're providing an
interactive webinar to help.
New food allergens webinars
We're going to be holding webinars at the
start of December to cover an introduction to the new food allergen
regulations, the most common questions we have received, as well as
any further questions you may have.
We'll be covering the following:
- An introduction to the new regulations
- What this means for you in practice
- Frequently asked questions:
- What do I do if none of the
children in my care have allergens?
- If children bring food with
them, do we still need to display the allergens?
- Can I sometimes prepare food on
a adhoc basis?
- I am a nanny – therefore in a
parents home – does this apply to me?
- What do I need to do if we are
going out and may eat?
