Liz Bayram, Chief Executive at PACEY,
‘We know that home based childcare
settings provide invaluable support to families across the country.
Yet at the moment we’re seeing an increasing government focus on
school-based nurseries as the main solution for parents looking for
high quality early years support.
‘It is vital that we continue to provide
robust support to help attract new entrants to home-based childcare
settings, which we know are first choice for so many parents. We
hope this qualification will do this as well as helping existing
home-based practitioners to raise their level of care and expand
their business models.
‘We have received a strong level of
interest in the course so far and look forward to welcoming new
entrants over the months ahead.’
Julie Hyde, Executive Director,
"We are delighted to welcome the first
students onto this new qualification at a time when there is
increased demand by families for home-based childcare. This
qualification will not only provide opportunities for people
wishing to set-up, or work within, home-based childcare settings,
but also a good grounding for those interested in our Early Years
