I CAN, the children’s communication charity, is holding their 2015 Chatterbox Challenge from 9-15th February. So far nearly 50 PACEY members and 550 children have registered to take part. Will you be getting involved?
The Chatterbox Challenge 2015: Garden Adventures with Ben & Holly is supported by Entertainment One’s (eOne) popular children’s TV show, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.
It’s set to be a really exciting fundraising event to help develop children’s communication skills by learning songs and taking part in activities to help strengthen their development.
Children will get to take to the stage and perform the themed songs at a show in your local area. All fundraising goes towards I CAN’s work with the one million children in the UK who struggle to communicate.
Don’t forget, it’s not too late to register for your Chatterbox Challenge free fundraising pack.

There are more ways to get involved and loads of brilliant resources available to help understand and support children’s language development.
PACEY is one of the Chatterbox Challenge Partner groups and we’re hosting free resources for members from our friends at I CAN. You can download them from the Partner Resources in MyPACEY. Including:
- Having an indoor adventure

Here at PACEY we also have a fantastic free speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) training course available for members to support you in communication.
Check out our practice guide on Supporting Children’s Language Development and a lovely Communication video that visits the settings of several childcare professionals to see how they support children’s communication.
We also have a range of I CAN products in the PACEY shop including ‘Learning to talk, talking to learn’ and ‘Babbling Babies.’
