PACEY Local brings volunteers together in celebration of their hard work and dedication

PACEY volunteer facilitators met for a tea party at the home of PACEY’s volunteer officer, Sarah Edwards, in Retford, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday (25 July).

The event was an opportunity for volunteers to share information and ideas on how to extend the PACEY Local Peer-to-Peer Support Network and also to celebrate their hard work and dedication as PACEY volunteers.

In true afternoon tea style there were lots of tempting delicacies on offer – with a wide variety of cakes supplied by Milton Keynes facilitator, Julie Dodds.

The weather stayed fine so there was time to sit in the garden, in between the tasks and challenges set, for those attending.

Joanna Smith, a local facilitator who attended the event, said:

“PACEY Local’s afternoon tea provided a great opportunity to get tips and advice from colleagues. The topics covered were interesting, and enabled us all to contribute our views and ideas.

The resources which were made available to view have prompted me to put in an order for some of the books PACEY publishes, and as usual Sarah (Edwards) and Lauren Sampson (volunteer engagement manager) injected a great deal of love and fun into the event.”
