PACEY welcomes antipodean visitors

PACEY welcomed visitors from the Family Day Care Educators Association of Western Australia last week at its headquarters in South London.

Association Chair, Jo Cox, and Secretary, Lorraine Kirk visited PACEY as part of a trip to learn more about the support available to childminders in the UK.

Lorraine said: “It was so lovely to visit PACEY’s head office last week. Childcare practitioners in England and Wales are fortunate to have an organisation like PACEY, which clearly provides a great service for its members, and offers so many much-needed resources for childcare businesses.”

Jo added: "We have also made many childminding friends through Facebook page, and have been hosted by a number of them during our stay. We also do international postcard and Christmas card exchanges as a group, which has proven to be a fantastic way to open up the wider world to the children in our care."

Jo and Lorraine will also be attending the International Family Day Care Organisation Conference in Edinburgh, while in the UK.
