Saturday 3rd October 10.30am-4pm
Media Resource Centre, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Oxford Road, LD1 6AH
We would like to invite all members and registered childminders in Wales to the annual PACEY Cymru conference, funded by Welsh Government, on the theme of ‘Play and Development in the Early Years’. The day will be a mixture of presentations and interactive workshops. This event is free for all PACEY members and registered childminders in Wales. Lunch and refreshments are provided for all attendees.
What will the day include?
There will be general updates and discussions relevant to practice in Wales including a session on the announced changes in the upper age limit from 8 to 12 and the new CSSIW Inspection Framework led by Donna Davies, Policy Advisor to Chief Inspector, CSSIW and an update on the Welsh Government's Early Years Development and Assessment Framework. Sports Wales will be delivering a session on the ‘Physical Literacy Journey’. Following popular demand PACEY Cymru will be piloting a revised version of their ‘Play with Lego’ workshop - those that remember previous versions of this will know it was extremely well received and we are anticipating similar feedback. This workshop will look at how to support children’s holistic development in the early years through fun activities with Lego.
This will be a fun filled day with some supporting resource packs to take away with you and will also provide networking opportunities for you. Remember attendance at this event will count towards your hours of CPD (continuous professional development) in line with PACEY Professional Standards.
