PACEY graduates celebrate success

On Saturday 12 September, PACEY held its second graduation event to celebrate learners who have successfully completed the CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce.

Held at the Assembly Rooms in Alton, Hampshire, 30 learners were presented with their certificates in the company of family, friends, and those who have supported them throughout their journey.

Designed to build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 19 years, the Diploma covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas. Learners have to complete 11 core mandatory units before they choose optional units in either Early Learning and Childcare, Social Care, or Learning Development Support Services. They complete multiple assignments over an 18 month period as well as being observed in their setting.

PACEY’s Chair, Jane Comeau, addressed the audience by highlighting the exceptional achievement they had made and recognised the hard work and dedication needed to complete the qualification.

She said:

“It was my pleasure to present PACEY graduates with their certificates at Saturday's ceremony, and to celebrate with students their wonderful achievement. It was lovely to talk with them and their families at the lunch that followed and get a glimpse of their individual stories.

"My congratulations go to all PACEY graduates, and congratulations and thanks to all of the PACEY team who supported the students from the start of their learning, and made their graduation day so special.”

So far 221 people have passed the Level 3 Diploma with a further 302 due to complete before the March 2016 deadline.
