PACEY members claimed two accolades at this year’s Nursery World Awards, held on Saturday (26 September 2015), at The Brewery, in central London.
PACEY member, Sharon Collier from Enfield, won the award for Childminder of the Year, presented by PACEY Chair, Jane Comeau.
While Darren and Rebecca Elliott’s Leeds-based setting, Kidspiration (also PACEY members, pictured) won the ‘Provision for Two-Year-Olds’ award.
PACEY member Maisie Collin’s setting ‘Maisie Poppins’ in Hackney, London, was also nominated in the Childminder of the Year category.
The event, which was attended by nearly 600 childcare professionals, was hosted by Blue Peter presenter, Barney Harwood.
PACEY President, Penny Tassoni, was one of the judging panel, and presented the award for Nursery of the Year, won by Little Barn Owls and Farm school based in Horsham, West Sussex. She said:
“The Nursery World awards are always a great opportunity for the unsung heroes of the childcare sector to come together in celebration of the invaluable work that they do, and this year was no exception.
“I’d like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Sharon Collier and Kidspiration for winning in their selective categories, and indeed to all of those who were nominated for an award. I hope that everyone who attended enjoyed the evening as much as I did.”
