PACEY has submitted its response to the Education Select Committee on the Work of Ofsted, following calls for written evidence earlier this summer, ahead of a one-off evidence session, scheduled for Wednesday 16 September.
The submission was largely informed by the association’s Building Blocks: a report on the state of the childcare and early years sector in England, published earlier this year.
While it welcomed Ofsted’s new Common Inspection Framework as an opportunity to improve consistency across the inspection system, it also called for early years inspections to be brought in house to ensure that this new ethos of consistency was reflected across the whole education system.
We will publish an update on the evidence session here.
