National Children's Day, on Sunday 15 May, is organised by the Save Childhood Movement and this year focuses on the importance of adult mental health to children's mental health.
Lots of things in the modern world have made the lives of adults more complicated and stressful and children really need happy, healthy adults that have the time and energy to share their worlds.
National Children's Day is being used to raise awareness about the issues, to highlight the statistics on adult happiness, wellbeing and mental health in the UK, and to champion the work of the key people and organisations working in the field.
One of the events taking place to mark National Children's Day will be at the Eureka! National Museum of Childhood. The Power to the Playful conference on Monday 16 May explores the pivotal role that play and happiness has in child (and grown up) development, with eminent academics, practitioners and thinkers
PACEY is proud to be a partner organisation for National Children's Day 2016. Find out more about the initiative, and how to plan an event, here.
