PACEY has joined forces with MindED and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, to provide members with free online training focussed on understanding child mental health. PACEY has identified ten free MindED e-learning sessions, which collectively provide a comprehensive introduction to understanding child mental health.
Through the bite-size e-learning modules, childcare professionals can gain invaluable advice on how to support mental health and wellbeing in early years, and ultimately support the development of young healthy minds.
As part of its Early Minds Matter campaign, PACEY is providing support to childcare providers, to in turn support children’s mental wellbeing.
The new PACEY learning pathway is available to access via the PACEY website. Training sessions include Introducing Child Development; Developing Play and Language; Mental Health and Wellbeing; and How Environment Affects Children’s Mental Health.
Theresa Johnson, Development Manager at PACEY said: "We are delighted to be working with MindED because we understand that the early years is a critical period for mental health development. At PACEY we are committed to helping members continue to play a vital role in supporting children’s mental health."
MindED is dedicated to providing free online training across health, social care, education, criminal justice and community settings. The organisation offers over 300 bite-size e-learning sessions, aimed at any adult that might come into contact with children with mental health problems.
