Ofsted is looking for volunteers, and particularly childminders, to sit on its nine regional scrutiny panels.


CSSIW propose changes to DBS checks

CSSIW are proposing changes to how childcare providers apply for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks in Wales for CSSIW applications or renewals.  This includes the payment of fees by the childcare provider for each DBS check required.  They are looking for the views of providers on these changes.


30 hours, the debate continues

30 hours is continuing to be a heated debate within the early years sector including a story on Nursery World and most recently, an open letter to Theresa May PM that was posted on the PACEY Facebook page.
