NEWS: PACEY, NDNA, EYA and Early Education join to urgently call for recovery support for the sector

Today, the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) along with the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA), Early Years Alliance (EYA) and Early Education (EE) have made a joint call to Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Vicky Ford, the Childcare and Early Years Minister in England, to make sure that childcare and early years education is at the forefront of plans to support the UK to recover from this pandemic.

Key measures of support needed for the sector includes:

  1. Ensuring continuity funding of early education entitlement from local authorities
  2. Establishing a Transformation fund
  3. Extending continued Covid-19 support and addressing the current gaps that are leaving many registered providers with little or no support.
  4. Changes to current regulations and requirements
  5. Support and CPD
