NEWS: DfE helpline for COVID-19 queries

The Department for Education in England has launched a helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday by calling 0800 046 8687 or emailing DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk 

The Department has said that no school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless directed to do so by Public Health England.

The importance of hygiene

Good personal hygiene is the most effective way to limit the spread of COVID-19. Everyone is being encouraged to help spread simple and effective hand hygiene messages.

Public Health England has a dedicated webpage with a range of posters and digital materials. Sign up is quick and free and means you will be alerted as more resources are made available.
