PACEY has today made a submission of evidence to the Treasury Committee, convened to examine whether the Government's financial response to coronavirus is sufficient and what more measures are needed.
In the submission, we explained that the forced closure of settings would have a significant and potentially devastating impact on childminding businesses in particular.
The measures already put in place are commendable, but must go further to protect those tens of thousands of childcare providers, including self-employed childminders, hit by the Coronavirus measures who, as of today (Monday 23 March 2020) face real hardship unless they receive immediate support.
You can read the full submission here.
We have also launched a survey calling on childcare providers to speak of the impact the measures will have on their business sustainability. Please complete and share the survey now.
