NEWS: PACEY submits urgent briefing to Chancellor and HM Treasury

Since sharing the results of our latest survey, which evidenced the thousands of critical, self-employed childminders across England and Wales who are set to miss out on essential financial support, PACEY has submitted a briefing to key government bodies including Chancellor Rishi Sunak and HM Treasury.

Key areas of concern raised included the striking prospect for the future of the profession, the potential loss of flexible childcare places, the number of childminders not eligible for current government support for the self-employed and the unsustainable future the childminding sector currently faces.

The briefing calls on government to mitigate this risk now, adapt current funding programmes and establish transition support.
