Today a broad group of organisations representing businesses, parents, children, childcare providers, and workers united to renew pressure on the Treasury to take action to prevent nurseries and childminders from closing up shop due to coronavirus and issue a joint statement on childcare.

NEWS: Testing turmoil for childcare providers in England

PACEY has this week been overwhelmed by many of its 20,000 members in England – childminders, nurseries and pre-schools – saying they cannot access the Covid-19 tests they need to know if they must temporarily close their service due to a suspected case of the virus. PACEY is calling on the Department for Education to take urgent steps to address the current delays to Covid-19 testing.

NEWS: Update on the EYFS disapplications in England

The current disapplications to the EYFS in England that were initially applied in April 2020 due the pandemic will be lifted on 25 September 2020 and reviewed on a monthly basis by the Department for Education.

NEWS: Further extension to the temporary relaxation of some NMS in Wales / Estyniad pellach i ymlacio dros dro rhai SGC yng Nghymru

Welsh Government have further extended the timescale for the temporary changes to some of the requirements in the NMS up to 31 December 2020 / Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi ymestyn yr amserlen ymhellach ar gyfer y newidiadau dros dro i rai o'r gofynion yn y Safonau Gofynnol Cenedlaethol hyd at 31 Rhagfyr 2020.
