NEWS: JCVI sets out phase two of vaccine rollout to be prioritised by age

This morning the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has set out its interim statement for phase two of the Covid-19 vaccine deployment. In this they have ruled out prioritising people by occupation and will instead use an age-based delivery approach.

NEWS: DfE rolls out home testing to PVI nurseries and pre-schools, but not childminders

As part of today’s extensive announcement on the government‘s road map out of lockdown in England, the Department for Education has confirmed it will provide lateral flow devices for home coronavirus testing to staff at PVI nurseries and pre-schools from Monday 22 March.

NEWS: Early years and childcare vaccine confusion - update

PACEY has now received the following information from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHCS) and the NHS. They have confirmed that the vaccine appointment booking system has now been amended to reflect the fact that childcare and early years practitioners are not eligible for vaccination as part of the social care workforce unless they are caring for clinically extremely vulnerable children.
