Nadhim Zahawi has been announced as the new Secretary of State for Education, as part of a wider government reshuffle in England. 


NEWS: New survey shows impact of childcare costs on UK working parents

Yesterday the findings of a major survey were published showing the impact of the cost of childcare on working parents in the UK. Over 20,000 parents took part in the survey organised by a coalition of parenting and campaigning groups.

The Petition Committee in England has scheduled a debate on Monday 13 September from 4.30pm on a petition relating to funding and affordability of childcare.

This week the DfE announced additional funding for training in mathematics, language and social and emotional skills for practitioners in England.
