Ofsted has just released their research and analysis of childminder data for 2022-23 which shows that in the last financial year (2022–23), 5,200 childminders left their registers while 1,700 childminders joined.
Today is the launch of the EECC (Early Education and Childcare Coalition) of which PACEY is proud to be a member, and the release of the EECC’s new report ‘Pulse Check: Public attitudes towards early education and childcare’.
Nurseries and childminders across the country will be paid more from today for every government-funded hour they provide to parents.
On 31 August David Johnston OBE MP was confirmed as Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing at the Department for Education, replacing Claire Coutinho MP.
PACEY is the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years. Formed in 1977, we are a charity dedicated to supporting everyone involved in childcare and early education to provide high quality services, information and advice to children, their families and carers.
Across England and Wales we provide training, expert advice, help and peer support to practitioners and practical and impartial support and information for families and carers and those advising them. We represent the views and experiences of practitioners and champion their vital role in helping prepare children for a bright future.
