NEWS: DfE launches weekly surveys of settings in England

The Department for Education has launched a weekly ‘pulse survey’ to find out more about how COVID-19 is affecting the childcare and early years sector in England, focussing on workforce and child absences.

The surveys are open to all settings, including childminders, and should take around 5 minutes to complete.

The data collected from these surveys will be essential to inform the Government’s response to the pandemic and in assessing policy options and development.

The surveys will be shared each week during January and February (usually on a Monday) with responses due in by the Wednesday at 11.59pm, so you may find it useful to set up a calendar reminder.

Participation is voluntary, and you are encouraged to take part if and when you can. The DfE recognises that the pressures facing practitioners at the moment may mean that you are unable to participate every week.

Responses for the Week 1 survey close tomorrow (12 January) at 11.59pm.
