With the current heatwave the country is experiencing, we have noticed on countless early years forums, comments asking for ideas on activities to provide and opportunities within the environment that will support the children in this weather. We ask ourselves why does this sudden rise in temperature cause practitioners such levels of concern?

Is your childcare setting meningitis aware?

Meningitis Now are passionate that everyone should know about the signs and symptoms of the disease and act fast should they suspect meningitis and increase awareness in practitioners and parents. They have recently developed the world’s first Meningitis Aware Recognition Mark (MARM) for the sector, to help them recognise the disease and take the appropriate action.
