Special guests announced for leading education event

Childcare Expo is celebrating its 10th birthday throughout 2019, and following the huge success of the recent London event, the party is set to continue at EventCity in Manchester this Summer. Returning on 14-15 June 2019, Childcare Expo Manchester has announced a host of special guests to appear at the event.

Starting on Friday 14 June and welcoming visitors to the show on both days, best-selling early years author, Alistair Bryce-Clegg, will be coming along to provide two seminars throughout the show. Alistair's talks will focus on intergenerational projects (drawing on his experience working on Channel 4's BAFTA award-winning programme, Old People's Home for 4 Year Olds), as well as discussing child-led approaches to learning.

Shadow Early Years Minister and MP for Batley and Spen, Tracy Brabin has been confirmed to open the event alongside Alistair on Saturday 15 June, before giving a free keynote speech to visitors. In her speech, Tracy will contribute her understanding of the early years sector and will outline how she believes government policy should work for settings.

Bringing the sunshine to Manchester with his Jamaican-infused music, Britain's Got Talent Semi-Finalist, Donchez Dacres will also be making an appearance at the event - providing a fun-filled workshop with Amanda's Action Club on Friday 14 June. With lots of culture rich songs and movements designed to support physical development, Donchez and Amanda will be teaching everyone how to "Wiggle and Wine"!

In addition to special guests, an outstanding line up of early years and primary education experts have also been confirmed to present CPD seminars and interactive workshops, covering a broad range of topics including Ofsted inspections, Makaton, mindfulness, environmental sustainability, sensory play, self-evaluation, and much more.

Tickets for Childcare Expo Manchester are completely free; however seats for seminars across both days are limited and may sell out, so early booking is recommended to avoid missing out. Visitors also have the chance to win a £500 John Lewis voucher for inviting as many colleagues to come along to the show with them as they can. The visitor who invites the most - wins!
