Privacy settings for members and customers
PACEY uses your personal data to contact you because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. For example to service your PACEY membership; to support you with your qualification or other PACEY products or services you have used. As our communications with you are generally electronic, we also use your privacy settings to ensure we have your permission to contact electronically.
These changes mean you now have more control over how PACEY contacts you. So we are writing to ask you to view your current privacy settings here and, if you wish, make any changes. Alternatively, you can contact our customer services team on 0300 003 0005 and they can support you to do this. In the future you can update your privacy settings whenever you want to.
This is all part of PACEY preparation for one of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law which comes into effect on 25th May.
The General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, is a really positive step towards you and other individuals having more control over how your personal data is used and how you are contacted by us and other organisations. It will also help to better protect your personal data.
We know many of you are already preparing for this in your own businesses and I hope, as members, you have made the most of the advice and support we have provided to you in recent months.
