I have used these journals for years and I love them, and so do all my parents as they provide a lovely record of their child’s development and time with me - I have had a few children use them with me from 12 months to the day they start school and the parents especially treasure the mini library they have for keepsakes. Yes they are small but I love that they fit easily into a child’s daily backpack, I cover them in sticky back plastic (after printing and gluing on a favourite photo of the child on the front) from the very start to protect them and I have learnt to write small! I print out small photos and stick these I with sticky tape on one edge so they can be lifted to read what’s written under. My journals are very personal and filled with all the funny and special things the children do, a good dose of humour and the parents have a chance to comment on each day their children are with me, sharing what they’ve done on the weekend etc. The little photos are great because I often encourage the children to page through them with me and it brings back months of memories without their needing to be able to read. And best of all, Ofsted loved them on my last inspection!

I use the journals and really like them so do the parents. I use the middle space to put in a daily photo and write briefly about the activity. I also cover the book in tacky back plastic before I send it home the first time so it doesn't get tatty.. What I would really like though is for their to be a smaller pack of the stickers which just has phy, pse, and language and com in it as these get used more and I run out more frequently especially with the very youngest of children.

I really like these journals but do agree with previous reviews could do with space for photos and bigger boxes . But what i would really like to see improved is the outer covering as with in a short space of time they begin to look tatty going backwards and forwards in childrens bags.

Always use these journals however it would be nice to have blank pages to insert photos every now and again
