Basic food hygiene training

If you prepare food in your childcare setting it's important that you have a food hygiene qualification. Our exclusive version of the Level 2 food hygiene course has been tailored to suit both group and home-based childcare settings and will give you the guidance you need.

What's the aim of the course?

Ideal for anyone who prepares food for the children in their care, you'll learn about the risks of contamination, food-borne illnesses and legal responsibilities, as well as correct food handling and storage; personal hygiene; preventative measures; and effective controls and procedures.

This level 2 Basic Food Hygiene e-learning programme has been developed to meet the needs of both group settings and home-based childcarers. It contains essential information on all aspects of storing, preparing and serving food.

The Food Standards agency says: Food Business operators are required by law to ensure that food handlers receive appropriate supervision and instruction and training in food hygiene, in line with their work activity and should enable them to handle food safely. This programme is accredited by RoSPA.
