CYPOP5 - how long will it take?
The face-to-face course will normally run for 14 classroom hours. It is often delivered over three days. This will be followed by a multiple choice assessment.
For the online course, once you’ve signed up, you can access the course as and when you want to and you will have six months in which to complete it. It is difficult to say how long each assessment will take to complete as this will depend on your knowledge and early years experience, however the average time for completing the course is ten to twelve weeks. You must complete the course within six months.
What is the assessment process?
When you enquire about a local face-to-face CYPOP5 course you will be provided with details of the Multiple Choice Assessment date, please ensure that you are available to attend this. This is a knowledge based assessment; therefore all questions will be linked to the course syllabus.
Once you register for the online course, you will be allocated an assessor within five days of being sent your login details. You can start submitting your assignments as soon as you are ready to, and they will be assessed within five working days. If any work needs extra information, you will be provided with feedback to guide you. You can expect to receive an introductory message from your Tutor/Assessor within seven days of receiving your log in instructions. A copy of the message will be sent to your email inbox. You will not be able to reply to this message by email. To reply to messages from your Tutor/Assessor you will need to log in to the e-learning website and use the in-system messaging service. Once you have been marked competent in all your tasks your certificate will be ordered from our awarding body.
