Funded childcare training in Wales
Welsh Government programmes
Following the closure of the Progress for Success funded training programme in 2017, Welsh Government have now confirmed that they have removed the higher level age restriction for the childcare and early years sector. This means that those aged 25 and over, in addition to under 25s, can access the Work Based Learning Apprenticeship Framework and funding for relevant qualifications including the Level 3 CCLD (Children's Care, Learning and Development) qualification.
These programmes support childcare and early years professionals in Wales to access funded childcare and play qualifications
Currently a significant number of practitioners working in the childcare and play sector in Wales have no or very low levels of recognised qualifications.
We are collecting Expressions of Interest (see below) for those interested in completing Level 3 qualifications.
Expression of Interest Level 3 English
Expression of Interest Level 3 Welsh
If you already hold a Level 3 CCLD (or equivalent) and are interested in progression to higher level qualifications take a look at the higher level qualifications on offer.
