Closing settings guidance - Coronavirus

The government realises that the announcement to close schools and childcare settings from Friday 20 March to all except vulnerable children and the children of key workers has prompted much concern and many questions from across the sector. PACEY will continue to work hard to get accurate up-to-date responses to you as promptly as possible, and we appreciate your patience in this challenging, fast-moving situation.

in response to the ongoing efforts to respond to the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The taskforce is comprised of leaders from across the sector, including the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY); the National Day Nurseries Association; the Early Years Alliance; representatives from the major childcare chains; the Local Government Association; Association of Directors of Children's Services; and the Greater London Authority.

This group will be meeting at least weekly in order to ensure clear and responsive communication of key messages to and from Government and to share information.
