PACEY Cymru at the Senedd

Claire Protheroe, National Manager for Wales for PACEY Cymru gave evidence to the Welsh Assembly's Children, Young People and Education Committee at the Senedd on the Childcare Offer Bill (Wales) which looks at the mechanism of using HMRC to check eligibility for parents/carers looking to access Childcare Offer funding in Wales.

Do you accept Sodexo childcare vouchers?

A number of PACEY members have alerted us to an issue with childcare voucher supplier Sodexo. These members have received a message from Sodexo saying they must complete a form and return it to them, as part of GDPR compliance. This form incorrectly assumes that providers are data processors of Sodexo's data. PACEY has raised concerns with Sodexo and is advising members not to take any action until PACEY has sought legal advice on members’ behalf.

Latest statistics on 30 hours released

The Department for Education (DfE) has released the latest statistics on the number of 30 hours childcare codes issued and validated for the summer term 2018. This follows statistics released in April 2018 on the use of 30 hours childcare for the Spring term and Summer term up to 9th April 2018.

The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, comes into force on 25th May. It is a really positive step towards you and other individuals having more control over how your personal data is used and how you are contacted by us and other organisations.

MPs launch inquiry into impact of the early years on life chances

An all-party group of MPs in the House of Commons Education Committee has launched an inquiry into the impact that the early years of a child's life have on their life chances. The deadline to submit evidence is Friday 1st June 2018.
