NEWS: PACEY seeks clarity on early years and childcare sector vaccinations in England

After reports today that some early years and childcare practitioners in England have secured appointments for Covid-19 priority vaccinations, PACEY is asking DfE for a clear policy decision on this to avoid a 'postcode lottery' of practitioners able to access the vaccine.

The Department for Education (DfE) has issued guidance for Local Authorities in England to support early years and childcare practitioners to use the Government's community testing programme.

NEWS: Ofsted data shows further increase in settings reporting Covid-19 cases

The latest Ofsted data shows that a large number of settings in England have reported confirmed coronavirus cases. Despite this, the Government has not yet committed to supplying home testing kits for PVI settings.

NEWS: Early years providers in England to miss out in latest testing rollout

Yesterday the government announced it will offer coronavirus testing for businesses in England which employ over 50 staff members. Sadly this initiative will not benefit the vast majority of early years and childcare providers.
