Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (Community Pathway)

This Level 4 apprenticeship training programme develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work with children, young people and families across a range of multi-agency services to achieve positive outcomes and sustainable solutions in their daily lives.

You will work within a specific social care role in community settings such as education, youth services, early years, youth justice, family support and special educational needs.

At the end of this training programme, you will be awarded a Level 4 certificate in Higher Education in working with children, young people and families, which is endorsed by De Montfort University, Leicester.

Part one: apprenticeship standard

Months 1 to 3:
- Programme introduction and expectations
- Equality and diversity
- Effective communication and multi-agency working

Months 5 to 10:
- Safeguarding and interventions
- Child development and theory-based practice
- Family life and contemporary social issues

Months 11 to 15:
- Behaviours: The six C's
- Preparation for your End Point Assessment (EPA)

Part two: higher education certificate

- Module 1: Lifespan (0-18 years)

- Module 2: Safe practice

- Module 3: Child study

- Module 4: Professional practice

This qualification is delivered by our training provider, The Childcare Company, who can offer this qualification to you with no cost to you with various funding methods available, helping you to make the most of your childcare career.
