The future is CEY smart

The early years field is constantly changing. New children and families arrive in our setting, research is published and new frameworks are introduced. When working in early years it's important that we keep up to date, reflect on practice and continue to develop as individuals in order to provide high quality care and education.

CEY smart is PACEY's online training platform, offering short, 10-20 minute courses, that can be done on any device, at any time. It also provides practical help and expert advice to practitioners working throughout England and Wales.

Whether you just need a refresher and a quick update on changes to the curriculum and regulation, need support with the 'new normal' facing practitioners currently, or are new to the sector and just starting out in your career, CEY smart provides CPD certified courses which will help you support children better.

"I do a lot of CPD and I can honestly say it's the most user-friendly, engaging and informational platform I've used thus far."

Chloe, Childminder

The content and structure of the training puts the child at the centre of the learning - so everything can be directly applied to your setting and the children in your care. We've filmed with practitioners, children and parents at a variety of real settings, to demonstrate examples from actual practice. Each course links theory and practice together in an accessible and meaningful way.

A number of our courses have been developed in association with key organisations, for example, Loughborough University, I CAN, Relate; and we're working with EarlyArts, The Money Charity, and The Wildlife Trusts - amongst others - to bring you more courses soon!

"I think the website is great, definitely something that I would use with my staff. Some really good bite-size courses that are engaging and informative with some really useful activity ideas and links which I will definitely be using in my setting."

Karen, Early Years Setting Manager
